I've been meaning to have this review up already but sometimes life gets in the way. However, make sure you are following me on Instagram if you aren't already. I always post at least once a day. It's just easier at time to do a quick post on there then it is here plus you'll hear about beauty news a lot quicker as well. But let's get to this review. You already know I am a big fan of this brand. While there's a small number of shades I have had an issue with, it's still one of my fave liquid lipstick brands. This Fall three new shades were released, one of which is limited edition. The three shades are Dominatrix, Masochist and Dirty Money. I'll share my thoughts on each shades as well as some comparisons to other shades.

DOMINATRIX
Chocolate brown

This shade applies as smooth as poured chocolate. Chocolate brown describes this shade perfectly. It applies opaque with one swipe. This shade's formula is perfect. A definite must have for Fall. Brown lips are back and on trend for Fall. Also works as a nude alternative for those with darker skin.

I don't have many brown lipsticks so I compared Dominatrix to the two shades I do have. I originally wasn't going to get Dominatrix because I thought it was too similar to ColourPop Limbo. Turns out it a completely different brown and not as close as I thought it would be. Milani Crush is from their Amore Matte collection and is actually a reddish brown but not to a true chocolate brown like Dominatrix so it looks much more red.

This pink is perfect for year round but especially for the Fall and Winter if you wear your shades by season. I found with one swipe the shade wasn't fully opaque. So two layers was a necessity.

The closest shade in my collection was Wet n Wild Cherry Picking. It's a semi-matte so it has a bit of shine but it's actually one of my fave Wet n Wild shades.

DIRTY MONEY

While the description may seem vague it really does describe the shade perfectly. If you look at the green on the American dollar that's the shade you can expect on your lips. I'd say it's a muted green with a grey tint. It's a shade not for the meek of heart but I love it and it's such a unique shade. You're sure to turn heads. Like Dominatrix, this shade was one swipe perfection. The only issue I did find was that it settled into the lines of my lips fairly quick. So I would suggest making sure your lips are exfoliated and primed to avoid this. Also this shade has a very odd scent. I'm not sure how to describe it though. However, if scents don't bother you then this shouldn't matter. But if you're sensitive to scents like me then this might be an issue for you. I try not to breathe in while applying because the scent is that noticeable but after it dries in 1-2 minutes the scent is gone. I've contacted the company about this twice and I have not heard back smh.

I don't have any shades similar to this nor are there any on the market that I have seen. It's a very unique color. So I just included a pic of me wearing it alone. It's different but I think it's still very wearable. (Update: Give Me Glow Cosmetics has duped this shade if you don't want to purchase from JSC either.)

I find all JSC shades long lasting for 6-8+ hours so I don't really go into detail on that. Check out my other reviews here, here and here.

    Not to sound rude but did it smell like cat piss? I'm not the only kne who has said that. I thought people were crazy till I got my replacement of I'm nude and sure nuff it smelled like cat pee

    I have cats and it's a scent I know well but I definitely wouldn't say thats want it smelled like lol. However, the scents on these lipsticks that I don't like seem to vary. I'm Nude is the one shade I don't own so i can't comment on it's scent.

      Dominatrix does have a pungent odor at first, but not of urine. It's more of a sweet chemical that I can't pin point right now. However, I put it in a warm area and decided to mix it up with its applicator. The odor went away. I think the product just settled and that's what gave its weird odor. It's there, but not as harsh. It's pretty though...

      I'm not to fond of celebrity skin, and will use it as a highlight for my lips. However, I am in love with Gemeni and unicorn blood. I like Dominatrix to an extent. I need to try those wet n' wild colors though ;) ;)
