e.l.f. has always been ahead of the game when it came to budget beauty with it's countless selections and array of colors. Now they are venturing into new horizons by introducing an affordable skin care line. Prices range from $4-12 and it's currently available for pre-orders that are expected to ship this month. Only four items will be initially released for early launch with the rest of the lineup expected later this year. Those four early releases will be determined by the number of pre-orders each product gets.

I'm surprised to see a toner isn't included. I know many now consider it an optional step but it is still a part of most skin care lines so that one can have the option to use it if desired. I'm sure if this line is successful more products will be added and changes will be made. Currently it seems that only one regimen is available as there aren't any products designated for specific skin types such as oily, dry/sensitive, combination or acne prone skin. Also the primer and BB cream only come in one shade at the moment. I can understand this for the primer as colored primer is not a requirement since most people use concealers for any problem areas. But for a BB Cream to be successful it needs to be able to appeal to a wide variety of skin tones and one shade just won't cut it. Time will tell especially since e.l.f. is being very smart by using the pre-orders as a way to steer this collection as it lets them know what products would be most successful and what products people have no interest in.

Happy Hunting!
